All of my coins are hand-cut using a jeweler's handsaw. I start by figuring out where and how many holes I am going to need to drill. While some coins an require as few as two holes drilled, some of my more complex coins can take over twenty different holes. Once I have my holes drilled, I take extremely tiny sawblades and begin the process of cutting around the designs I want to leave. From there, it is just a matter of choosing which parts to cut away and which to leave. I finish by filing down any hard edges from the back with a jeweler's file.
